Connect an AI client
Set up Reepl with OAuth in Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, or another remote MCP client.
Before you start
You need a Reepl account and an AI client that supports remote HTTP MCP with OAuth. To schedule or publish, connect the destination account in Settings → Channels first. Features still follow the active workspace's plan and credit requirements.
Choose Quick or Advanced
Open Settings → MCP in Reepl. Quick uses https://connect.reepl.io/mcp; Advanced uses https://mcp.reepl.io/mcp and adds image and media tools.
Keep the URL you choose through the whole authorization flow. Each connection is authorized for its own server.
Claude
Add Reepl
Use the Reepl connector in Claude's connector directory when it is available to your account. If your Claude account supports custom connectors, add a remote connector using the chosen Reepl MCP URL.
Authorize
Sign in on Reepl's authorization page. Check the signed-in account, review the permissions, and select Allow.
Test the connection
Start a conversation with Reepl enabled and ask: “List my Reepl workspaces.” Check that the expected workspace appears.
ChatGPT
Use ChatGPT on the web to create a custom MCP app. Availability depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace permissions; the current settings are described in OpenAI's MCP app guide.
- Open ChatGPT's Apps settings and enable developer mode where available. A workspace admin may need to allow custom MCP apps.
- Create a custom app named Reepl.
- Enter
https://connect.reepl.io/mcp, orhttps://mcp.reepl.io/mcpfor Advanced, and use OAuth authentication. - Complete the Reepl sign-in and consent flow, then wait for tool discovery.
- Enable Reepl in a chat and ask: “Show my LinkedIn drafts from Reepl.”
Claude Code
Add the Advanced server from your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http reepl https://mcp.reepl.io/mcp
For Quick setup, use https://connect.reepl.io/mcp instead. In Claude Code, run /mcp, select Reepl, and authenticate in your browser. See Claude Code's MCP documentation for client configuration.
Other MCP clients
Add a remote HTTP server using one of the URLs above and let the client complete OAuth discovery and authorization. Follow that client's configuration format. A client that only supports local command-based servers needs a compatible remote MCP bridge.
What success looks like
The client can list tools and return your workspaces or drafts. After calls start, Settings → MCP in Reepl shows connection activity. A connected client with no recent activity can appear inactive without the connection being broken.
If tools do not appear or authorization fails, use MCP troubleshooting.
