Troubleshoot MCP

Fix OAuth setup, missing tools, permission errors, workspace selection, and publishing failures.

Authorization does not finish

Start a fresh connection from the AI client. Use the same server URL throughout the flow, sign in to the intended Reepl account, and complete consent. An expired connection link needs a new flow.

If the client cannot add a custom remote server, check its plan and workspace permissions. Use an OAuth-capable remote HTTP client.

The expected tools are missing

You connected Quick but need image toolsAdd the Advanced server at https://mcp.reepl.io/mcp.
You did not grant account actionsReconnect and enable Act on your social accounts.
The client has a cached tool listRefresh the connection's tools or reconnect in the client.
An old prompt names a removed toolUse the current tools reference.

A draft or account is missing

Call list_workspaces, select the intended workspace, and list its channels. LinkedIn, X, and Reddit drafts use separate tools. get_drafts returns LinkedIn drafts; it does not return every platform's drafts.

A publishing tool fails

Check the returned error, channel connection, acting workspace, plan access, credits, and approval status. For Reddit, check rules and flair. For scheduling, provide an explicit timezone offset and a future time.

If a tool reports that a post changed since you read it, fetch the current version and retry the edit against that version.

Image generation or upload is incomplete

Use check_image_generation_status for a pending job. Complete an upload with finish_media_upload. If an upload link has expired, start a new upload session. Keep the same workspace for media and publication.

An old key-based setup stopped working

Use Settings → MCP for the current OAuth setup. Do not replace an OAuth credential with a REST API key. Reauthorize in your AI client if it requests sign-in.

Check activity or get help

Settings → MCP shows client activity after calls are made. For support, include the client name, Quick or Advanced URL, workspace, tool name, and error text. Do not include authentication tokens or keys.
