How to Analyze a LinkedIn Profile

The Profile Analyzer scores any LinkedIn profile across five categories -- Personal Branding, Experience, Skills, Education, and Completeness -- and returns a prioritized list of actionable improvements. Use it on your own profile or any publicly visible profile you want to study.
Before you start: The Profile Analyzer is a free tool and needs no account, email verification, or AI key. You upload a PDF export of the LinkedIn profile -- there is nothing to install first.
Open the Profile Analyzer
The Profile Analyzer is a free tool that runs outside the app, at reepl.io/free-linkedin-profile-analyzer. You do not need an account to use it.
Export the profile to PDF
On LinkedIn, open the profile you want to analyze, click Resources (or the More button), and choose Save to PDF. That one file is everything the tool needs.
Upload the PDF
Drop the PDF into the upload area, or click to browse for it. The Analyzer mode is selected by default; you can switch to Roaster for a blunter, funnier tone using the toggle at the top of the tool.
Run the analysis
Click Analyze my profile. The tool processes the PDF and generates the report. This typically takes about 15 seconds.
Your full analysis opens showing your Overall Score out of 100, a score breakdown by category, a What's working section, a Fix these first section with high-priority quick wins, and an All recommendations section filterable by High, Medium, and Low priority.
Understanding the results
The analysis report includes:
- Overall Score -- A 0-100 rating showing how the profile performs across each category.
- What's working -- Demonstrated strengths, primary focus area, and recognized skills.
- Fix these first -- High-priority issues with an estimated time to fix (shown in minutes).
- All recommendations -- The full list of suggestions, filterable by priority level.
You can use the Share button to share the page using your device's share options, or copy the link to send to someone else.
The analysis reads only what is in the PDF you upload. Your file is processed to generate the report and is not stored on Reepl's servers afterwards. Reepl is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to LinkedIn Corporation.
