Writing Styles

Train Reepl on how you actually write, separately for posts, comments and messages, so AI drafts need less editing.

A Writing Style is what Reepl learns about how you write, so drafts come back sounding like you rather than like a language model doing LinkedIn.

Open Settings → Writing Styles.

Training a writing style requires a Pro plan or above with an active subscription. Old links to Voice Profiles and Model Training land here; they are the same screen under earlier names.

Three surfaces, trained separately

Writing Styles are split into three tabs, because you do not write these the same way:

TabCovers
PostsYour own published posts
CommentsReplies on other people's posts
MessagesDMs

A post voice is performative; a DM voice is not. Training them together produces drafts that are wrong in both places, which is why they are separate.

Training a style

Pick a surface

Choose the Posts, Comments or Messages tab.

Give it sources

Reepl learns from what you have already written. Choose a collection and select posts to train from, and add written instructions describing your voice in your own words.

The more genuinely yours the source material is, the better this works. Training on posts you did not write teaches Reepl to imitate someone else.

Train

Reepl analyses the sources and builds a style: hook patterns, tone, sentence length, vocabulary you reach for and vocabulary you avoid.

Review the sources

Use View on any text or link source to see exactly what went into the style. If a draft comes back sounding wrong, this is where you find out why.

Managing teammates' styles

Workspace owners and admins can open and edit a teammate's Writing Style, not just their own. Click a teammate's card in the Team section of the list, or use Choose whose settings to edit above the detail view to switch between teammates without leaving the page. A banner reminds you whose settings you are editing until you switch back to your own.

Every style is Shared by default, so any owner or admin can see and edit it. A member can mark their own style Private to hide it from other members, but owners and admins can still see and edit a private style.

Where it gets used

Once trained, the style applies across AI generation: the composer, Copilot and Andy, comment and DM replies, and anything generated over the MCP server or the API.

MCP sessions are stateless, so if you want an AI client to write in your style, ask it to fetch your writing style at the start of the conversation.
