How to Track Twitter Analytics
Learn how to view aggregate and per-post Twitter/X analytics in Reepl, including impressions, engagement rate, top posts, and more
Reepl tracks engagement metrics for your published tweets and provides both per-post analytics and an aggregate dashboard view. Use these to understand what content resonates with your X audience and optimise your posting strategy.
Before you start: You need a connected Twitter/X account with at least one published tweet. If X / Twitter is not connected, the page shows a prompt to connect it in Settings → Integrations.
Open Analytics
From the left sidebar, click Analytics and select the X / Twitter tab to see your aggregate analytics dashboard.
Choose a date range
Use the time range filter at the top of the Analytics page to narrow the data. Available ranges:
- Last 1 month
- Last 3 months
- Last 6 months
- Last 1 year
Review the KPI cards
A row of cards summarizes the selected range: Impressions, Followers, Engagement Rate, Posts Published, and Link Clicks.
Read the performance chart and top posts
The X Performance chart shows impressions and engagement over time, with its own range picker (Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 6 months, All time). Next to it, Top Posts lists your best-performing tweets by impressions, with likes, reposts, and engagement rate for each.
Check Habits and Insights
An X / Twitter Activity heatmap shows your posting activity. When Reepl has enough data, an Insights section calls out things like an improving or dipping engagement-rate trend, posts whose metrics haven't synced yet, and your average impressions per post over the selected range.
View per-post analytics
From the Published tab in the content creator, click any published tweet to see its individual analytics:
- Impressions, likes, retweets, replies, quotes
- Link clicks and profile clicks
- An engagement rate, and a "last updated" timestamp showing when metrics were last fetched
What the metrics mean
| Metric | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Impressions | How many times the tweet was displayed in timelines |
| Likes | Number of users who liked the tweet |
| Retweets | Retweets (with and without comment) |
| Replies | Number of direct replies |
| Quotes | Tweets that quoted your tweet |
| Link clicks | Clicks on any links in your tweet |
| Profile clicks | Users who clicked through to your X profile from the tweet |
Team view
On team and agency plans, switching to team view replaces your personal KPIs with workspace totals (impressions, engagement rate, posts published) and a per-member breakdown table (posts, impressions, likes, engagement rate).
Tips
- Compare post types. Track whether single tweets, threads, or polls drive more engagement for your audience. The performance chart and Top Posts table make patterns visible over time.
- Check stale metrics. If a tweet's metrics have not been refreshed recently, the per-post analytics card shows when data was last fetched. Metrics update periodically, not in real time.
- Use analytics to inform scheduling. Cross-reference your best-performing tweets with the times they were posted to find your audience's peak engagement windows.
