Posting to Reddit
Connect Reddit, write a post with the right subreddit and flair, and get through the rules check without having your post removed.
Reddit is a first-class channel in Reepl alongside LinkedIn and X. You can compose, schedule, and queue Reddit posts from the same post composer, with the parts Reddit actually cares about built in: the subreddit, the flair, the tags, and a rules check before anything goes out.
Connect your account
Open Settings → Channels and connect Reddit. Connecting with OAuth rather than posting anonymously gets you better API rate limits, access to your subscribed subreddits in the picker, and the real flair list for each one.
Reepl confirms your Reddit identity with Reddit before saving the connection. If that check fails, you see a connection-failed notice: "We could not verify your Reddit account. Please try connecting again in a moment." Your existing connection, if any, is left untouched.
Writing a Reddit post
Reddit posts are shaped differently from a LinkedIn post, so the composer changes when you pick the Reddit channel.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Subreddit | Required. Search your subscribed subreddits, or type any subreddit name directly. |
| Title | Required, up to 300 characters. On Reddit the title carries the post. |
| Post type | Text, Link, or Media. |
| Body | Optional for a text post, up to 40,000 characters. |
| Flair | Optional, but many subreddits reject posts without it. |
| Tags | NSFW and Spoiler. |
The preview on the right shows the post the way Reddit will render it.
Attaching media
A Reddit post takes either images or a video, never both:
- Images -- attach one for a single-image post, or up to 20 for a gallery post.
- Video -- attach exactly one video. A video cannot be combined with images in the same post.
If the flair picker says it cannot load options, reconnect Reddit in Settings → Channels. Flair is read live from the subreddit and needs a working connection.
The rules check
Before a Reddit post is published, scheduled, or added to the queue, Reepl shows that subreddit's rules and asks you to confirm the post follows them. This is not busywork: removal for a rule you did not read is the single most common way a Reddit post fails.
Read the rules
The dialog lists the subreddit's published rules.
If it says the subreddit has not published rules here, that does not mean it has none. Check the sidebar or pinned posts before you post.
Optionally scan your post
Check written rules runs an AI check of your post against the subreddit's automatic posting requirements. It costs 1 credit.
The scan only covers automatic posting requirements. Every other rule in the list still applies, and a clean scan is not permission to ignore them.
Confirm
Tick Confirm and continue to post. You can also tick Don't ask again for r/subreddit to skip this dialog for that subreddit in future: the setting is per subreddit, so other subreddits still prompt.
Closing the rules dialog cancels the Reddit post. If you were posting to several channels at once, the others still go out and Reddit does not, so you will see a note telling you Reddit was skipped.
What it costs
Publishing or scheduling a Reddit post costs 15 credits. If you do not have enough, the post is refused before anything reaches Reddit, and if publishing fails after the credits are taken they are refunded automatically.
The rules scan is a separate 1 credit, and only if you choose to run it.
Scheduling and the queue
Reddit posts schedule like any other. They appear in the queue and on the calendar, where the card shows the post title rather than the body, matching how Reddit itself displays them.
A Reddit post an owner or admin makes on a teammate's account waits for that teammate in the same approval queue as LinkedIn and X.
Reddit is deliberately excluded from cross-posting. A LinkedIn post reworded for Reddit is a different post: different title, different subreddit norms, different tone, so Reepl will not copy one across for you.
Post analytics
Once a Reddit post is live, its Score and Comments count show on the post card in the Published tab of the post composer. Click the card to open its Analytics view for the same two numbers with a "last updated" timestamp.
If the post was removed from Reddit, or its stats have not been fetched yet, the card shows no Score or Comments, and the analytics view shows "Reddit stats are unavailable for this post right now."
Finding things to reply to
The Reddit tab in the Engagement feed tracks keywords across Reddit and surfaces threads worth joining, with filters, sorting, and search. It requires a Pro plan.
