Add and reuse media
Attach uploads, saved media, GIFs, generated images, and carousel documents to your content.
Open the attachment controls in the composer to add media. Choose the publishing channel before preparing attachments so you can check its supported formats.

Reuse an uploaded image
- Open the composer and select your channel.
- Choose Media Library in the attachment menu.
- Search or filter the library, select the image, and attach it.
- Preview the post and confirm that the selected image appears.
Generate an image
Choose the AI image option, describe the image, and start generation. Image generation runs in the background. Wait for it to finish before attaching or publishing the result.
Paid-plan generation can use Reepl credits. You can also connect supported provider keys in Settings → AI Models & APIs. See Image Generator.
Check each destination
X supports one GIF in a post, without other media in the same post. Cross-posted images can be limited by the destination's attachment limit. A video or carousel can take time to prepare; resolve an upload error before publishing.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The attachment is still uploading | Wait for completion before submitting. |
| A carousel failed to attach | Retry from the error banner, or explicitly remove it before posting without it. |
| A generated image does not appear yet | Check the generation status before starting another generation. |
| A destination has fewer images | Check that channel's media limit and preview its version. |
