Brands

Group your LinkedIn, X and Reddit accounts into brands, give each brand its own profile and ideal customer, and write for one brand at a time.

A brand is a set of channels you post to together, with the context Andy uses when writing for it. Use brands when you write for more than one company, product or client from the same workspace.

Each brand has:

  • Brand info -- Its name, image and the context Andy uses for this brand: one-liner, industry, website, positioning, audience, tone, products, content pillars and goals.
  • Ideal customer profile -- Who this brand's posts are written for. Link one of your audience profiles.
  • Design System -- The colors and fonts used across your content. The Design System is shared by the whole workspace.
  • Channels -- The accounts this brand publishes to.

While a brand is selected, Andy uses its context as writing guidance. Where it differs from your workspace context, the brand's context wins.

Create a brand

Only workspace owners and admins can create and edit brands. Connect at least one channel in Settings > Channels first.

Open Brands

Go to Settings > Brands and click Add Brand.

Fill in the brand

Enter the brand's website and click Auto-fill to fill the fields from the site, or type them in yourself. Give the brand a name, review the fields, then click Save.

Add the brand's details

Open the brand to see its Brand profile. Choose Brand info, Ideal customer profile or Design System to fill in each part.

You can also create a brand from the composer: open the person or brand picker in the breadcrumb and choose Create brand.

Add channels to a brand

A brand holds one account per platform: one LinkedIn, one X and one Reddit. The LinkedIn can be a personal profile or a Company Page.

Open the brand's channels

In Settings > Brands, open the brand and choose Channels.

Add an account

Under Add an existing channel, click Add next to an account already connected in this workspace. It stays connected everywhere else it is used. To connect a new account, choose Connect a new account.

Replace an account

If the brand already has an account on that platform, the button reads Replace. The account you replace stays connected, in no brand.

To take an account out of a brand, choose Remove from brand next to it. In Settings > Channels, the Brands section lists each brand's accounts, and Standalone lists accounts in no brand.

Pick a brand

In the composer, open the picker at the start of the breadcrumb. It lists Personal, Team and Brands. Pick a brand to see its channels and write as that brand. A new post starts with the brand you used in the last few hours, if any.

In the calendar, open Filter > Account and pick a brand under Brands to see only that brand's posts.

Your own channels and your teammates' channels are always available and do not count toward this number. A trial gets the number of the plan you are trying.

When your workspace reaches its limit, upgrade, or switch another brand off with its Brand active switch in Settings > Brands to free a slot. If you move to a plan with fewer brands, nothing is deleted. The brands made first stay active and the rest are locked until you upgrade or free a slot.

Delete a brand

Open the brand and choose Delete brand under Danger zone. Its channels stay connected and are only removed from the brand. The brand's context is deleted too. Only workspace admins can delete a brand.
